Donna Niedecken
Simmons
Odessa - Donna Niedecken Simmons, 56, passed away Friday, July 14,
2006, at Medical Center Hospital.
She was born October 2, 1949, to Herman Ray and Marine (Clark)
Niedecken in Snyder, TX. She was a manager for Venerable Insurance
Company and a member of Asbury Methodist Church.
She was a very gentle, tenderhearted, loving and caring woman. Her
greatest blessing was her granddaughter, Kodee. She had great pride
and love for her daughters, around which her world revolved. She had
a strong sense of faith and love for family and friends.
She nourished her faith by enjoying yearly gospel concerts with her
family. Her retreat for relaxation and feeling closer to God was
Ruidoso, NM.
She was involved in the community through volunteering with the
Permian Basin Fair and Exposition, the Permian Playhouse, and
Kodee’s Girl Scout troop. She took great pride in her work at ICA
for the past eleven years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Marine
Niedecken, brother, Ray Niedecken, Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Misty Lee Simmons and Amanda Page
Simmons, both of Odessa; brother, David Lynn Niedecken, and sister,
Betty Fry, both of Ft. Worth, aunt, Wylna Lloyd of Andrews, uncle,
O. L. Clark of Baytown, Tx. and one grandchild, Kodee Ray West of
Odessa, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
