Janilyn ‘Hopie’ Kull
Hancock
Odessa Janilyn “Hopie” Hancock, 56, of Odessa passed away Wednesday,
October 4, 2006 at her residence. She was born May 29, 1950 to
Clarence & Melba Kull in Odessa. She graduated from Permian High
School. She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She married
Bennie Hancock July 4, 1968 in Odessa.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, a super loving
grandmother and an excellent amateur artist. She was very helpful to
others, very giving, patient and a happy person and more concerned
about others.
She is survived by her husband, Bennie of Odessa, daughters, Tami
Benavidez & husband Scott of Penwell, April Thomas & husband Jeff of
Odessa, father, Clarence & Margaret Kull of Odessa, (5)
grandchildren: Devon, Kerry, Sawyer & Spencer Benavidez and Patrik
Thomas.
She truly did live in love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness and
faith.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at
Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 7, 2006 at the Friendship Baptist Church with Rev.
Dave Adkins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial
Gardens.
