Sharon Elizabeth Brown went to be with her Lord at 5:45 pm June, 23rd after a courageous battle with a sarcoma , a rare form of  cancer. Sharon was born in Abilene , Texas on September 25th, 1949 to Carlos and Thelma Leggett. She was raised in Odessa, Texas. Sharon was an honor graduate of Texas Tech University and received her Masters degree in Psychology from The University of Alabama. After moving to Birmingham, Alabama for a teaching job she met the love of her life, William E. Brown, Jr. Sharon and Bill shared some 31 wonderful and adventurous years together and had a terrific child in Stephanie. Over the years with their jobs, they lived in Connecticut, Northern California, San Diego, Dallas, New Jersey, Salt Lake City, and finally settled in Roswell, Georgia in 1996. Sharon had an accomplished career that began in teaching and led through clinical psychology to management consulting and vice president positions in Human Resources. At the core of her abilities and values was her love for the Lord. She kept God as the cornerstone of her life. She served faithfully as part of the North Atlanta Church of Christ on praise teams, musicals, job search committees and in countless other ways. Sharon was a loving wife, mother, and sister and friend. To know Sharon was to love her. She leaves behind Bill, Stephanie, her brother David Leggett and sister-in-law Paula Leggett of Roanoke, Texas as well as 2 nieces and 4 cousins. She was the epitome of a sweet southern belle and will be missed by all who were touched by her.

Visitation will be at the Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Road , Roswell , GA from 6-9 pm on Thursday, June 26th with a memorial service at 11:00 am Saturday June 28th at the same location followed by a reception at the North Atlanta Church of Christ.

A ceremony will be at the Frank Wilson Chapel in Odessa , Texas Sunday, June 29th  at 3:00 pm with burial to follow on Monday, June 30th. Stephanie, Bill and I want to say thanks to everyone who has held our hand through the past years and shown us your love whether through a phone call, a card, a simple text message or even flying to Houston. We could not have made it here without you.
