Wesley Morgan Hardin
ODESSA — Wesley Morgan Hardin, 53, of Odessa, died in a plane crash near
Weatherford, Texas, on Jan. 15, 2004.
He was born Aug. 2, 1950, in Odessa, Texas. He was educated in the Ector
County Independent School District and graduated from Permian High School in
1968. He earned a degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas and was
the owner/pharmacist of University Pharmacy.
Wesley was a member of First Baptist Church, served on the Odessa College
Foundation, the Odessa Country Club Board of Directors, was a past president
of the West Texas Pharmacy Association and past president of the Flatlanders
Ski Club.
Wesley enjoyed golf, snow skiing, travel, flying and hunting.
He was particularly proud of his two sons, Brandon, a midshipman at the U.S.
Naval Academy, and Grayson, a senior at Odessa High School. The things he
liked best included fast red cars, his four Labrador retrievers, beautiful
spring flowers and the University of Texas football team.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Hampton Hardin; his sons, Brandon Chase
Hardin and Grayson Noel Hardin; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Hardin; his
sister, Vicky Hardin; and his brother, Wilson Hardin.
The family suggest memorials be made to the First Baptist Church or the
Odessa College Foundation.
